2KB is a DOE-approved Project Facilitator

Federal agencies pursuing guaranteed energy performance contracts can engage 2KB's team to oversee project planning, contract negotiation, and construction management

Congratulations to George Buchanan who is now an approved U.S. Department of Energy Project Facilitator!

Project Facilitators (PFs, also called Owner's Representatives) are designated experts at navigating complex energy-related capital projects such as performance contracts. From RFP development to ESCO oversight, a PF advocates for federal agencies in all the technical, financial, and contractual components of an ESPC. Their expertise is crucial to project success, so much so that their presence is required for all federal projects.

The Biden Administration recently announced the Climate Smart Building Initiative directing federal agencies to aggressively pursue ESPCs in an effort to rapidly decarbonize federal buildings. With intentions to spend $1B+ per year on ESPCs, there's lots of projects 2KB can assist with this new PF designation. Congrats George, we can't wait to see all the opportunities this unlocks!
